Are You or Do You Know a Grandparent Raising Grandchildren?

The Sisters of Mercy are offering a support group for Grandparents Raising Grandchildren in McKeesport.

A support group is a chance to share with others what’s working and where you need assistance in raising your grandchildren.

A support group is a time and place to learn the answers to your questions from external speakers.

All grandparents raising grandchildren are welcome!

 

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Programs in the Pittsburgh area:

The McKeesport area has created a Grandparents Raising Grandchildren support group that was started in January and will continue on a monthly basis.  Sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy, this group works to meet the needs of grandparents who are raising their grandchildren in the Pittsburgh area, connect them with other grandparents raising grandchildren in their area, and provide them support throughout the issues that they are faced with. Any grandparent who is responsible for their grandchild is welcome to attend.

Prayer For Grandparents

Dear Lord, fill us as grandparents raising our grandchildren with Your choicest blessings and enrich our souls with Your heavenly grace.  Grant that we may faithfully and constantly act in the best interest of our grandchildren. 

Fill us with the spirit of wisdom and enable us to impart it always to our grandchildren. May we ever walk in the way of Your commandments and may our grandchildren be our joy in this earthly life and part of our crown of glory in our heavenly home.

Dear Lord, grant us as grandparents raising our grandchildren continuous health of mind and body.  Grant them this same gift.  Help us, Lord, to be helpful to them. Amen.
